on sloths and sexiness
I've been the biggest sloth evARR this weekend. Not counting the surprise meeting at my apartment about the freelance gig on Saturday, I've done absolutely nothing that can be considered productive. I felt that I deserved every second of this... inactivity, to effectively counter-balance the craziness that's been my job and freelance gigs. Eat, sleep, video games, dvds, eat, sleep, ukulele, video games, dvds. Such is the life.
And I feel I needed every bit of it.
When I walked out of the apartment this morning, it actually felt good. The weekend actually FELT like a weekend. I know many of you can attest to this, that some times weekends come and go so quickly that it felt like it didn't happen. Well not for me this time. I soaked up every bit of inactivity like bread on warm butter.
On another note, what's with the sudden influx of Asian men sexiness? This isn't news to me but wow the sudden explosion of exposure is quite refreshing. Yul Kwon of Survivor: well-bred, incredible credentials, well spoken, well-mannered, and hecka goodlooking. And that hot bod?! Smokin'. Incredibly successful. Now he's got an extra million to throw around for winning Survivor. AND, he got featured in People magazine as one of the Sexiest Man Alive. Insane. Along with some hotness are Brad Virata, Daniel Dae Kim, and John Cho. Even Masi Oka of Heroes has been voted favorite hero with a featured article in NYTimes for "geeking out". Jeff Yang, veteran AsianAm columnist, has a pretty awesome article about them at SFGate.com.

“Virata said he looks for “someone who has a good relationship with their parents, someone with a good heart, someone who shares the same traditional values that I have, someone who is not affected by their surroundings. And, they have to have a great smile.” — survivorfever
clearly, he's lookin' for none other than ... ME!!!!!
